Build 1132; Release Date:  January 17, 2003

Three  Ways to Update:

1. Automatic Web Update

You may have an automatic update tool installed. Press the 'Start' button, then 'Programs', then 'All Topo Maps' and look for the 'Web Update' tool selection, if you find it click on it to start automatic web update.

This update will automatically install the Web Update tool, so if you don't already have the tool skip to '2. Web Based Installation Tool' below.

2. Web Based Installation Tool:

Only downloads required components. Typically this method will save lots of time:

Click-> atmb1132.exe

then choose 'Run this program from its current location...' and follow the prompts.

If you encounter problems (unable to configure the proxy server or the incremental download hangs) try the '3. Conventional Full Download'.

3. Conventional Full Download:

Click->  atmb1132sa.exe

Summary: You will download a copy of the file 'atmb1130sa.exe' from the web to your local hard drive. After downloading the file, execute atmb1130sa and an installation script will update your All Topo Map set.

You may store the downloaded file anywhere on your local system (your browser will suggest a location), be sure to remember where you place the file! After the download is complete, close and exit any All Topo Map applications (like the viewer, GPS Tool, BigTopo and any All Topo help files) before you execute the update tool.

User Manual!: You can get a copy of the latest User's Manual in PDF format by clicking here: [ Latest User Manual ].  If you don't have a PDF viewer you can get one from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Common Problems: The update file is quite large, it may take up to 25 minutes to download depending upon the speed of your internet connection. If the file transfer is interrupted before it is complete, you will need to re-download the update. Some users may need to present their ISP with dummy activity to keep from being disconnected. Many users successfully download the update, but forget the local download path or forget to execute (run) the upgrade to install new components. When you run the upgrade, it will guide you through the update process and it will be obvious that the update is being installed.

If you encounter problems call the factory (+1 888 450-4922 or +1 801 412-0011) and ask for an 1132 update disk ($10 including Priority Mail shipping).
