Cloudcroft New Mexico Quadrangle, Map Information Update; Release Date: Aug 8, 2000

This update is all ready on the New Mexico 8-disk set.  It is only needed if you are still using the New Mexico 4-disk set.  If you are still using the Colorado 4 disk set click here for information on how to upgrade.

Update the NM.MI (map information file) for the All Topo Maps: New Mexico product. Fixes a georeferancing issue that prevented BigTopo seamed map generation over the Cloudcroft, NM map.

How to Download the Program Update:

Summary: You will download a copy of the file 'nm_miud.exe' from the web to your local hard drive. After downloading the file, execute nm_miud.exe and your existing NM.MI will be replaced.

You may store the downloaded file (nm_miud.exe) anywhere on your local system (your browser will suggest a location), be sure to remember where you place the file! After the download is complete, close and exit the All Topo Map viewer and BigTopo. Execute nm_miud.exe to perform the replacement.

Detailed Installation Instructions:

1. Close All Topo Maps, every All Topo Maps tool (GPS tool, database combiner, disk tester) and any All Topo help resources.

2. Click the highlighted link below to download the database installer.

3. Save the file anywhere on your hard drive, be sure to remember the path to the saved program. Once the download is complete, double-click on the saved file 'nm_miud.exe' and the update installer will run and replace older program components.

4. Again, before updating, please make sure that All Topo Maps, all tools (database combiner, disk tester, GPS Tool, BigTopo) and any All Topo help resources are closed.
