Two  Ways to Update:

1. Web Based (Incremental) Installation Tool:

Only downloads required components. Typically this method will save lots of time:

Click-> BTPSetup_.exe

then choose 'Run this program from its current location...' and follow the prompts.

If you encounter problems (unable to configure the proxy server or the incremental download hangs) try the '2. Conventional Full Download'.

2. Conventional Full Download:

Click->  BTPSetup.exe

Summary: You will download a copy of the file 'BTPSetup.EXE' from the web to your local hard drive. After downloading the file, execute BTPSetup and an installation script will update your All Topo Map set.

You may store the downloaded file anywhere on your local system (your browser will suggest a location), be sure to remember where you place the file! After the download is complete, close and exit any All Topo Map applications (like the viewer, GPS Tool, BigTopo and any All Topo help files) before you execute BTPSetup.exe.

Detailed Installation Instructions:

1. Close All Topo Maps, every All Topo Maps tool (GPS tool, database combiner, disk tester) and any All Topo help resources.

2. Click the highlighted link below to download the latest Update Installer.

Click-> BTPSetup.exe

3. Save the file anywhere on your hard drive, be sure to remember the path to the saved program. Once the download is complete, double-click on the saved file 'btpsetup.exe' and the update installer will run and replace older program components. The installer will not change your coordinate waypoint files (*.hwp). The 'All Topo Maps: GPS' tool will automatically be installed, both on your desktop and on the Start menu under 'Start: Programs: All Topo Maps'.

4. Again, before updating, please make sure that All Topo Maps, all tools (database combiner, disk tester, GPS Tool, BigTopo) and any All Topo help resources are closed.

What's New:

B2090 16 June 2003

Fixed BTPro occasional hang/stall while adding horizontal Lat/Lon grid lines to large maps due to clipping error over UTM Zones.

B2087 18 December 2002:

BTPro fails to load the very last map read during the initialization sequence.

B2083 18 August 2002:

Minor changes to collar annotation space.

B2080 18 June 2002:

'Barrow Proof' will build a three UTM zone map.

East/West Grid Text Rotation to conserve border space. (Turn off Filename as NE Title, set main title blank, disable declination and map scale to really save space.)

Includes UTM Zone override: typically BigTopoPro chooses the UTM to match the natural zone of the resulting map's center location. Overriding the UTM zone (on the settings tab) allows you to force the zone (+/- one zone from the natural).
